Police in the Free State are hunting for a man who stabbed popular Lesedi FM presenter Dimakatso Ratselane, who was found with multiple stab wounds in Bloemfontein.
Free State police spokesperson Motantsi Makhele says Ratselane was found covered in blood near a popular tavern at around midnight in the Caleb Motshabi area, popularly known as Dinaweng.
He says it is believed Ratselane and a man well known to her quarrelled on their way to fetch her children.
The presenter was subsequently discovered by residents and her friends in a critical condition and rushed to the Pelonomi Hospital in the early hours of the morning.
Police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
"It is alleged that Dimakatso Raletsane and the man left her home in Mandela View, travelling to phase 2 where they were to fetch her children," Makhele says.
"Along the way, they allegedly quarrelled and Ratselane was found in a bad state as she could not even speak.
"The hunt for the suspect started immediately. The suspect is at large but it will not be long before he finds himself behind bars.”
