According to Head of Energy in Ekurhuleni, Mark Willson they have managed to restore power to parts of the area and hope to be fully online again by Thursday evening.
There is light at the end of the tunnel for residents of Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg, who have been without power since the weekend.
According to Head of Energy in Ekurhuleni, Mark Willson they have managed to restore power to parts of the area and hope to be fully online again by Thursday evening.

"Last night we managed to safely test the first 7 switchboards out of 25 and we managed to get some of the power on," said Wilson.
He said rotational load-shedding would be implemented on Thursday as technicians work towards restoring power in full.
