Limpopo Transport and Community Safety MEC Florence Radzilani has pleaded with members of the public to help police trace two stolen state vehicles.
On Friday, two vehicles from the Department of Agriculture were stolen in Tzaneen.
The vehicles were stolen by a group of heavily armed suspects, who ambushed and overpowered security personnel at the department's offices.
The MEC's spokesperson Vongani Chauke says the suspects fled with various items, including cell phones and ammunition.
"The criminals made off with two double-cab bakkies, two two-way radios, two cell phones and rounds of ammunition, belonging to the security personnel within the facility. MEC Radzilani has pleaded with members of the public to help the police’s investigations into this crime.
"The MEC has urged anyone with information to assist the police in order to recover these state assets."
