A Limpopo father who allegedly killed his four children by slitting their throats appeared in the Magatle Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, Limpopo police said.

”The accused told the magistrate he was willing to apply for legal representation and lodge a bail application,” said spokeswoman Colonel Ronel Otto.
Lesiba Simon Kekana, 36, faces four charges of murder after he allegedly killed his children in Zebediela, Limpopo, earlier this month, and then tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself with a knife on the head. He had been in hospital under police guard.
The four boys, Bokang Kekana, 13, Keneilwe Kekana, 10, Hlologelo Kekana, 6, and Lekgoledi Kekana, 4, were buried on Sunday.
“The case was postponed to October 6 2015 for bail application,” said Otto.
