Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
Limpopo police have arrested a 45-year-old man for the brutal killing of his 35-year-old wife in Vuwani, outside Thohoyandou.

This while the nation to observe 16 Days of Activism against Women and Child Abuse and in a year that saw a large number of gruesome gender-based killings.
Police spokesperson, Motlafelo Mojapelo says the suspect apparently accused his wife of cheating.
"Following a heated argument, the suspect stabbed and chopped her with sharp instruments and she died on the spot.
"Angry community members pursued the suspect, caught him and started beating him up.
"The police were called and arrested him."
The man remains in hospital under police guard.
"The suspect will appear in the Vuwani Magistrate's Court on a charge of murder, once he has recuperated from his injuries," Mojapelo adds.
