Limpopo mother and sons allegedly kill husband over witchcraft
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
A 62-year-old mother and her two sons, aged 35 and 43, are expected to appear in the Tiyani magistrate court in Limpopo on Thursday.
This comes after the three were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing the woman's husband, Samson Hlungwani (66).
The trio accused Hlungwani of practising witchcraft.
It is alleged that one of the sons complained that his father bewitched him, claiming that each time he marries a woman, she doesn't stay long.
Police spokesperson, Motlafela Mojapelo says Hlungwani was strangled and found inside one of the rooms in the home they all lived in.
"The police reacted to a report about the incident and on arrival at the scene, the deceased was found with bruises lying motionless in one of the rooms," said Mojapelo.
The trio is facing a charge of murder.
