Limpopo pig farm killings 'worse than apartheid atrocities'
Updated | By Lesetja Makhura
Minister of Social Development Sisisi Tolashe says the brutal killing of two women at a Limpopo pig farm is worse than many of the atrocities suffered by people during apartheid.

Maria Makgato and Lucia Ndlovu were shot and killed, and their bodies fed to pigs at Onverwaght farm in Sebayeng outside Polokwane nearly two weeks ago.
"This has never happened; it’s unheard of. Even during this country's dark days, we never heard this. We never experienced this," Tolashe said outside court.
"The worst thing is those people that are alleged to have done this don’t show any remorse. We wonder if they are still normal human beings," she added
The minister attended proceedings at Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Friday, where the accused in the matter, farm owner Zachariah Olivier and his two employees, Rudolph De Wet and Willian Musor, appeared for bail application.
The bail application was postponed to 10 September to give the defence enough time to consult with their clients.
"We are calling upon the justice of this country, which is people’s justice, to make sure that these people never see the light of the day. They must never get bail, and when they are in jail, they must really be given harsh sentences," added Tolashe.
