Limpopo police hunt for killers of boy (3)

The police in Limpopo are searching for an unknown number of suspects after the body of a 3-year-old boy was found dumped in a bush.

The discovery was made by a passer-by next to Dikoting village, outside Groblersdal on Friday.
The little boy was identified as Samson Sithole, who hails from the area.
"Police have launched a massive manhunt for the suspects involved in the killing of a toddler. At this moment, the motive behind the killing is still unclear and the suspects are unknown.
"The manhunt continues," says provincial police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe.
He says police suspect the little boy was stoned to death.
"Next to the body of the boy we found stones, which we believe might have been some of the instuments used to kill the deceased.
"The cause of death will be known once the autopsy is done in the near future. At this stage we are still holistically investigating this matter as a murder case. We are calling on members of the community to come forward with information."
Provincial police commissioner Nneke Ledwaba has called on officers to to robustly deal with all criminalities affecting children.
"Those who choose to close their ears to our continuous warning messages, will be hunted down until we take them to where they belong," he said.
