Several prospective student
applicants were injured during a stampede at Capricorn TVET college in Limpopo
on Thursday, police say.

Limpopo police’s Motlafela Mojapelo says one student was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
"The other five [student applicants] collapsed and they were taken to the hospital and the police were then summoned and started monitoring the situation," says Mojapelo.
The cause leading to the stampeded is unknown, but posts on social media shows students queuing from early in the morning.
