With the festive season now in full swing, traffic
authorities have confirmed the arrest of two motorists caught clocking high
speeds along the N1 outside Polokwane.

Limpopo Transport spokesperson, Matome Tauyatswala, says motorists who do not obey the rules of the road, will be arrested.
"This festive season, we are not going to be playing buddy, buddy with anyone. We are going to arrest anyone found on the wrong side of the law," says Tauyatswala.
A 42-year-old driver of a BMX X3 was caught driving 208 km/h in a 120 km/h zone on N1 South next to Nyl Plaza. The speedster was detained at Mokopane Police Station.
Another 48-year-old driver of a Chevrolet was arrested for speeding at 214 km/h in a 120 km/h zone on the N1 next to Dinoko Lodge at around 18h30 on Sunday evening.
