A 19-year-old woman was arrested in Thohoyandou after she allegedly stabbed her 25-year-old boyfriend during a drinking spree at Mbilwi village on Friday.

Limpopo police's Moatshe Ngoepe says an argument erupted between the two and the woman took out a sharp object and stabbed her partner.

She fled the scene but handed herself over to police on Saturday.

In a separate incident in Marapong outside Lephalale, a 31-year-old woman was arrested for killing her 36-year-old boyfriend.

It's alleged the man asked his girlfriend to accompany him to his home but she declined. The man later went to the girlfriend's house and found her with another man.

A fight ensued and the woman stabbed the boyfriend to death with a sharp object.

Both suspects will appear at the Thohoyandou and Lephalale magistrates courts respectively on charges of murder.

"Members of the community must refrain from resorting to violence in case of any sort of dispute including the domestic related ones which sometimes lead to the loss of lives," says Ngoepe.
