Responding to a question from host, Rian van Heerden, about the almost 800 charges of corruption against President Jacob Zuma, she says that there are processes and structures in place to deal with certain issues.

"We have never refused to take responsibility, but we need stability," she said.

She said that this coming weekend's list conference is aimed at rooting out councillors and leaders who are not competent to lead.

Minister Zulu said that you can't tell the President to step aside because he is being accused of corruption.

"Like everybody else, the President should be allowed to stand in court," she told the Complimentary Breakfast.

She said that President Jacob Zuma was chosen as the leader of the party and the country based on the capacity he has to lead us.

"We are conscious of the fact that not everyone is going to like him, but the bottom line is that we have our own structures," she added.

She also said that the President was "here to stay" until he finishes his term in 2019.

Answering another hot question, Zulu said that President Zuma is the most qualified to run the country at the moment adding that his qualification comes through experience.

"Our standing, internationally, is so good."
