Forbes magazine has released its latest list of the wealthiest people in Africa.
Nigerian business magnate Aliko Dangote has been ranked the richest person on the continent.
Dangote has a net worth of $10.3 billion.
He founded and chairs Dangote Cement, the continent's largest cement producer.
Diamond firm founder, De Beers’ Nicky Oppenheimer, came in third with a net worth $7.3 billion.
Chairman of Swiss luxury goods firm Compagnie Financiere Richemont, Johann Rupert, took the third spot with a net worth of $7.3 billion.
He also owns a 7% stake in diversified investment firm Remgro.
Naspers’ Koos Bekker didn’t shy away with a $2.3 billion in net worth tied with philanthropist, Patrice Motsepe.
