Londoner Michelle Serradinho says the city is abuzz as the countdown to the wedding approaches.

"Everyone is very excited, I think Harry is one of the most popular and loved members of the royal family. He is more like his mother," says Serradinho.

Serradinho says children on Friday will be dressed the in red, blue and white of the Union Jack flag on Friday.

A number of street parties have also been organised in the capital. Serradinho says she will be also hosting a small tea party.

"Which will hopefully turn into BBQ with some celebrating, some drinking and some festivities."

Serradinho says her guests will all take turns impersonating a member of the royal family.

"So I have a mask of Charles and Camilla, the queen and Prince Philp, Harry  and Meghan, and Kate and William, so we will all be taking a chance playing one of the royal members."

She adds on the day she will be playing Kate, the good sister in-law, helping Meghan to fit into her new role.

Serradinho says the royal wedding comes at the right time as there is so much sadness in the world.

"Things like these do lift the mood of the nation, everyone is excited, everyone is on board."
