[LISTEN] Etzebeth ‘victims’ living in fear
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
The victims of the alleged assault and racial abuse by Springbok player Eben Etzebeth say they are living in fear.

This comes as the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) formally instituted legal proceedings against Etzebeth at the Equality Court on Friday.
The Springbok lock is accused of assaulting and racially abusing a homeless man in Langebaan in August.
He has denied the claims.

Spokesperson for the victims Sammy Claassen says one of the victims had to go back to hospital for an operation on Friday.
He adds that the two young women are also seeing a therapist
"SA Rugby has failed the coloured community and the black community in general because they allowed a player who has been implicated and identified and against whom has criminal charge case was opened. So this player should not have been included in the team.
"The two victims alleged that they were assaulted with a gun - on the head, with the face. The youngest victim was re-admitted to hospital last week and underwent a medical operation. The young 20-year-old coloured girls are so traumatised and fear for their lives."
