LISTEN: Father shot and killed outside son's school
A 50-year-old man has been shot and killed outside the Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard School in Green Point, Cape Town.
The man was dropping off his 8-year-old son on Tuesday morning when an unknown suspect approached and shot at them.
His son was injured.
Cape Town police have deployed their anti-gang unit to the scene.
"Detectives of the anti-gang unit and SAPS crime scene experts are combing the scene for clues. At about 07:40 am according to reports a 50-year-old man was shot in his head and fatally wounded inside his vehicle by an unidentified suspect who is yet to be arrested. The victim's 8-year-old son sustained an injury and was sent to a hospital for treatment," says Constable Noloyiso Rwexana
Constable Noloyiso Rwexana Rwezxana says the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a metallic grey VW Polo.

She also confirmed nothing was taken from the man's vehicle.
According to reports, the man is believed to have been a criminal attorney.
