LISTEN: Heavy rainfall record exceptional numbers

The South African Weather Services says the ongoing rainfall has resulted in some parts of the country recording up to 81mm rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Weather SA has recorded 81mm rainfall in Mandeni in KwaZulu-Natal, with the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport recording 43mm.

Forcaster Dipuo Tawana says Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo residents can expect more thundershowers Wednesday evening leading to Thursday morning.

"We still expecting more rain but Irene recorded 29mm, Pretoria 28mm and Nelspruit 25mm."
