[LISTEN] Hillary Gardee funeral: Grandmother asks whether we are still safe anywhere
Updated | By AFP
The Grandmother of Hillary Gardee says the brutal murder of the
28-year old woman shows that violence against women is out of hand in the
country and that there is no solution to this crisis.

Nora Fakude addressed mourners at the Chruch on the Hill hall in Kamagugu in Mbombela on Saturday morning, during the funeral service held a week after Gardee went missing.
Her body was discovered in bushes along the R37 road near Sabie on Tuesday, with the family confirming she was shot at the back of her head.
Fakude says they welcome the announcement that one person has so far been arrested.
Mpumalanga Premier, Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema are amongst the guests attending the funeral alongside other members of the party in support of the Gardee family.
Hillary’s father, Godrich Gardee, is a former Secretary General of the EFF.
On Friday evening, the EFF said even though they desperately wanted to learn the identity of the man arrested for the murder, they would wait like the rest of the country until Monday when the suspect appears in court.
Mpumalanga police announced that the male suspect in his 30s was arrested in Schoemansville and is expected to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
