[LISTEN] IEB class of 2019 celebrate excellent results

The spirit of excellence continues to fill the space as the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) matric class of 2019 received their results.
The pass rate for IEB matriculants papers is 98.82%, a marginal drop compared to last year’s pass rate of 98.92%.

Gabrielle Coetzee from Southdowns College in Pretoria obtained nine distinctions in Mathematics, Life Orientation, Afrikaans, English, French, Accounting, Physics, History and Business
She says now that exams are over, it feels like the end of an era but is at the same time exciting to see what the future holds.

Miguel Torres from St Davids who obtained eight distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Science, Information Technology, Geography and APS Maths.
He says the most important element is to succeed in matric is to beat procrastination.
"You have to manage your work and ensure that you doing work every day if you want to get through the workload in matric."
