LISTEN: Man shot on Grayston Bridge

A man has been shot and wounded in an attempted robbery on Grayston Bridge in Sandton.

Emer-G-Med CEO Jurgen Cotze says the man is in a stable condition.
“On arrival, we found one adult male patient that sustained a single gunshot wound through his right upper arm. He was classified as a priority two patient, which basically means he was injured but not critical.”

Sandton police spokesperson Granville Meyer says the suspects approached the man demanding money.
“The victim was safely in his vehicle when three male suspects stopped next to him with a vehicle and approached him, they wanted to rob him. They then shot the victim.”
Police have opened cases of attempted robbery and attempted murder.
