LISTEN: Police station set alight
Two people have been arrested after a police station was set alight in Alra Park in Nigel on Friday morning.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police spokesperson, Khobeli Mokheseng, says residents took to the streets on Friday morning after the Red Ants and police cut their illegal electricity connections.
"Protesters blockaded the streets with stones and burning tyres. Affected roads include Gazelle, Tuna and Balfour streets in Nigel."
The protest is ongoing with police monitoring the situation.
