[LISTEN] Ramaphosa's big plans for Gauteng

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced significant infrastructural developments planned for Gauteng.
Ramaphosa made the announcement at the 2020 State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday evening.

Amongst others, the City of Ekurhuleni on the Gauteng East Rand, will now get it's own university.
"We have decided to establish a new university of science and innovation in Ekurhuleni," announced Rampahosa.
The President's dream of a new post apartheid smart city is also becoming a reality.
This new 'smart city' will be built in Lanseria, north-west of Johannesburg.
"Last year, I spoke about our plan to issue tablet computers to school students, the process of distributing these is underway."
