[LISTEN] Riders of the storm warned about rain heading to Gauteng, Mpumalanga

The SAWS' Dipuo Tawana says the storms have been predicted with a 60% probability.
Motorists have been warned to drive with caution on Monday afternoon after the SA Weather Service (SAWS) issued an alert that severe thunderstorms are expected in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the south-western parts of Limpopo, the central and eastern parts of the Free State, and the North-West Provinces.
Wayne Minnaar of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) says motorist need to keep their headlights on and maintain a safe following distance
"It's also very important for motorists to adjust to driving on the wet roads and to reduce speed when it rains," says Minnaar.

The SAWS' Dipuo Tawana says the storms have been predicted with a 60% probability.
"Be aware, there is a possibility that some of the storms we are expecting might be severe," says Tawana.
