Student wellness agency Higher Health on Sunday wants all higher learning students to
be vaccinated against Covid-19.
CEO Ramneek Ahluwalia says the agency has created a Covid vaccination education program to assist those who are still unsure.
“Higher Health, with all our universities, TVET colleges, vocational colleges is running what we call a Covid vaccination education program.
“What we’ve done, like we used to have a curriculum on HIV or TB, and non-viral pandemics like gender based violence and mental health, these are many of challenges we live with and what we do is tackle them through education. We try to educate our young students when they came in the first years through a strong peer-to-peer programs, now we have added Covid along to it.”
Ahluwalia says that the program was built to educate communities.
“Built up of a strong peer-to-peer program we have to educate our communities, we have to make students and young people understand vaccinations.”
