EPWP march to City of Tshwane
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Former City of Tshwane contract workers are marching to Tshwane House to hand over a memorandum of demands.

The protestors are demanding permanent employment and for their contracts to be renewed.
Tensions are high at Burgers Park in Pretoria where the City of Tshwane's Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) workers who were part of the city's Operation Vat Alles, are gathering to mayor Solly Msimanga's office to demand that their contracts be renewed.
They also want the city to employ them on a permanent basis.
The protesters have joined by members of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL).
Authorities have only granted permission for a march to the mayor's office, but protestors say they are determined to march to the Union Buildings.
