EPWP marchers arrive at mayor's office
Tensions are running high as former Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) protesters arrive at Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga's office to deliver a memorandum of demands.
The protesters have gathered outside Msimanga's office to demand that their contracts be renewed.
They also want the city to employ them on a permanent basis.
The protesters have been joined by members of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL).
Authorities have only granted permission for a march to the mayor's office, but protestors say they are determined to march to the Union Buildings.
