Parliament gears up for its opening tonight
There has been a hive of activity on the parliamentary precinct in Cape Town since early this morning, where officials are preparing for the official opening ceremony tonight.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is scheduled to deliver his second State of the Nation Address in the National Assembly from 7pm.
Digniataries and politicians have been doing their early morning rounds from sunrise - inspecting the premises and assuring South Africa they are ready for the pomp and ceremony.
