Madiba's body arrives at the Union buildings

The body of former president Nelson Mandela arrived at the Union Buildings in Pretoria after a procession from One Military Hospital.
The body of former president Nelson Mandela arrived at the Union Buildings in Pretoria after a procession from One Military Hospital.
The procession left the hospital at 7.15am. Hundreds of people broke into song and dance as Mandela's coffin, draped in the South African flag, passed by, accompanied by more than 20 cars and many motorbikes.
A small group of people formed a guard of honour on Madiba Street.
Mandela died on Thursday night at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, at the age of 95.
He will lie in state at the Union Buildings for the next three days.
He will be buried in Qunu in the Eastern Cape on Sunday.
