They are complaining about service delivery in the township on the border between North West and Gauteng provinces.

Hundreds of people were singing and dancing on the main road with placards expressing dissatisfaction.

Some of the placards read: "We are sick and tired of poor service delivery."

The protest follows those in Mothutlung where four people died.

Residents in Mothutlung were complaining about water shortages.

Madibeng municipality's spokeswoman, Lebogang Tsogang, earlier said residents' grievances included water shortages and demands for the dismissal of a Mothutlung ward councillor.

Last week three people died in Mothutlung in violent protests following water shortages in the area. A fourth person died in hospital after he was shot in the head, allegedly by police during the protests.
