Madonsela aiming to summit Kilimanjaro

Former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela and Nelson Mandela Foundation CEO Sello Hatang are part of a group of South Africans heading to Tanzania to summit Mount Kilimanjaro on Women's Day.
The initiative aims to raise funds for sanitary towels for school girls.
A send-off ceremony was held at OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday.

"We've had 25 years to ensure we leave nobody behind but the truth is some have been left behind. Whose fault is that? People say its Ramaphoria, there is no ‘New Dawn’ because the president has not delivered,” Madonsela told reporters at the airport.
“But the country is a team. Like any team when it fails everyone has failed. So as South Africans we should stop pointing fingers and ask ourselves what we are each doing for social justice.”
Hatang said he hopes the efforts will help build compassion and forge solidarities which will make a lasting impact.
