Madonsela to release report into state capture
Updated | By Samkelo Maseko
Outgoing Public Protector Thuli Madonsela on Tuesday said she will release her report into state capture on Friday.
Madonsela held a conversation for News24 Editor Adrian Basson in Sandton yesterday evening.
She said she will not heed the call by President Jacob Zuma to defer the state capture investigation to the incoming Public Protector, saying the President knew that he was being investigated and had enough time to do the necessary paperwork.
President Zuma wrote to Madonsela, requesting her to allow him or his legal representative to question other witnesses, determined by her, who have appeared before the Public Protector.
The Public Protector also said she is yet to see the letter sent by the Gupta's to her office, in which they complain about her conduct during the probe.
"I haven't seen the letter from the Guptas. I absolutely have no idea what they are talking about. There is a report that we're going to release on Friday," she said.
