Magashule asks supporters to ‘help pay for the lawyers’
Updated | By Neo Motloung
African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Ace Magashule has asked his supporters to assist him with his legal fees.

Magashule made the requested while speaking to his supporters outside the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Friday afternoon.
He was earlier granted bail of R200 000 by the court.
Magashule has been charged for his alleged involvement in the multi-million rand asbestos audit contract scandal in the province.
The former Free State premier told his supporters that his legal team would be made up of all the races, although the majority would be Africans.
"I hope you will help us pay for the lawyers. I do not have money. Help us pay the law cost, even if it is R1 each because we know you don't have money.
"They set my bail at R200 000, but I said you know in my bank account I don't have R200 000. I would like to thank comrades who contributed," said Magashule.
Magashule is expected back in court in February.
