Magaashule made the comments in Tumahole-Parys on Wednesday, where the ANC on Wednesday unveiled a renovated home for slain activist Stompie Seipei’s mother, Mananki Seipei.

Magasule asked that the resolution taken at the national conference be respected by all members.

“The ANC took a resolution at its 54th National Conference in Nasrec took a resolution that land should be expropriated without compensation.

“But ANC when it has taken decisions on the highest decision making body which is the national conference, the resolutions of the national conference binds every member of the ANC, loyal member and any member who calls themselves a card carrying member even our supporters,” said Magashule.

Magashule’s comments comes a day after former president Thabo Mbeki, who in a leaked 30-page report,  questioned the ANC’s position on land expropriation.

Mbeki believes the resolution is not in line with party’s founding principles.

Magashule reiterated the ANC’s stance on land expropriation, saying that land should be given back to South Africans.

“The land must go back. The ANC has different views, diverted views.

“When the ANC conference has spoken to say land will be expropriated, even if you don’t like those decisions to amend the constitution, now it is the decision of the NEC.”
