Maile, Gwamanda to return to Diepkloof Hostel
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
Gauteng Human Settlements and Infrastructure MEC Lebogang Maile and Johannesburg Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda will engage residents of Diepkloof Hostel in Soweto on Thursday.

This comes after violent service delivery erupted in the area earlier this week, with residents taking to the streets to protest against the dire state of their homes.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Hostel Nduna Sibongiseni Khoza said they've had several meetings with officials to discuss the refurbishment of the hostel, but there has been little to no change.

Maile will visit the hostel for a second time this week after a first visit on Tuesday, which left residents disappointed.
"A closed-door political briefing meeting involving MEC, Mayor, Izinduna and organisers of the service delivery protest will be convened. It will be followed by a bigger meeting with all hostel dwellers," said provincial government spokesperson Tahir Sema.
