Maimane reveals what he wanted to be growing up
Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane says he did not want to be a politician growing up.
Maimane says he wanted to be an accountant.
"I was good with maths and science, so I thought I would be an accountant. That's what I thought I would do," Maimane says.
"When you grow up Soweto you don't have a choice. You might not be interested in politics, but it might be interested in you. In many ways you get enlisted, whether by choice or not."
Maimane also told JacarandaFM News' Maryke Vermaak about his childhood.
