Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Gauteng Premier David Makhura has called on all political parties to act against xenophobia.
During his reply to the State Of The Province debate on Friday, Makhura said the voices of all political parties should be heard on this matter.
“Let us be seen to be taking action. We cannot afford more violence and the killing of foreign nationals. This must not be done in our name,” Makhura says.

Makhura says politicians must make clear to South Africans that not all foreign nationals are involved in crime.
“Let us say to our people they should not resort to vigilantism. If there are foreign nationals involved in selling drugs, we shouldn’t paint all foreigners with the same brush,” Makhura said
