Malema calls for probe into Gordhan business dealings

EFF leader Julius Malema has called for an investigation into Finance minister Pravin Gordhan’s business dealings. Gordhan is the subject of a Hawks investigation, in connection with the establishment of the so-called rogue unit during his tenure as commissioner at the South African Revenue Service. Malema believes Gordhan’s business dealings are in conflict with his position in government.

Malema lashed out at Gordhan for refusing to meet with the Hawks, saying irrespective of the merits of the investigation, the Hawks have to be respected as a state institution.

Malema reckons what really needs probing is Gordhan's business interests.
Speaking during a press briefing on Monday, Malema also lashed out at party members for not paying their membership fees.
