Malema on finding a successor: ‘I’m still young’
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema won’t be stepping down from his position of power anytime soon.
The red berets are holding their second elective conference in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg this weekend.
Malema briefed the media on the third day if the conference on Sunday afternoon and responded to a question regarding a successor within the party.
He said the party's student and women structures are tasked with producing future leaders.

"In terms of building second and third layer leadership we have invested in the student command, there's a strong lobby for the youth command, we are now building a woman's command so all of that will be the feeders for future leaders.”
However, Malema said he still feels fresh.
"So if you want to ask me if I will be available for the next term it will depend on delegates. I will answer that question when the third national people's assembly comes.
"But I'm still very young you see? I'm still energetic so let's talk about it on the third one."
