Malema warns of ‘rolling mass action’ against Gordhan

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has warned that his party will institute what he calls rolling mass action against Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan.
He says the action will begin on Thursday when President Cyril Ramaphosa delivers the State of the Nation Address in the National Assembly.
Malema addressed the media on the outcomes of the party’s plenum in Centurion on Sunday.
“We are going to demand that Pravin must go,” Malema said.
“We are going to demand that in Parliament. We are going to have rolling mass action starting in Parliament from the 13 February. When Cyril starts speaking, we start. When he starts speaking, we are speaking also about Pravin going.”
The EFF has warned in the past that it will disrupt the State of the Nation if President Ramaphosa does not fire Gordhan.
The party has been involved in a long-standing battle with Gordhan, accusing him of serving the interests of white-monopoly capital and conduction a “reign of terror” at state-owned enterprises.
