Police in the Western Cape are investigating the murder of one of the accused in the fraud case involving former DA mayoral committee member in Cape Town, Malusi Booi.

Abdul Davids (42) was shot and killed in Mitchells Plain on Thursday night.
Earlier this week, Davids and their co-accused were released on bail following their arrest last week on charges of money laundering, racketeering, corruption and extortion fraud.
They are accused of being involved in an R1 billion tender fraud within the City of Cape Town's Human Settlements directorate.
Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said no arrests have been made.
"Detectives attached to the Anti-Gang Unit are hard at work in a bid to unravel the circumstances around the death of a man whose body was found in front of a premises in Ascot Street in Beacon Valley on Thursday.
"Preliminary reports suggest that unknown gunmen opened fire on the victim, who was declared deceased by medical personnel who attended to the scene,
"The motive for this murder is now the subject of an investigation by the police," he added.
