This after a major water leak was being attended to by the city’s Water and Sanitation Department on Friday.

The repair works lasted for 10 hours, completing the work at midnight.

Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo says there are still water tankers that have been deployed across the city as water returns to some parts of the affected communities.

"Repairs have been completed, the hole has been plunged, and water is being opened gradually to avoid structural damage to the pipeline.

"It might take some time for water to be fully restored to all clients. There are water tankers roaming around the affected wards for temporary supply. Customers can enquire from their ward councillors regarding the water tankers.”
