Man accused of killing Minister’s son to appear in court

A 24-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing Chumani Nqakula will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

23-year-old Chumani, the son of Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, was stabbed to death on Saturday in Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg.
The suspect, who is thought to be someone the deceased knew, was arrested at the weekend
Messages of condolences from the department and the ANC have been sent to the defence minister and her husband Charles Nqakula, the former minister of safety and security.
