Man arrested for shebeen murder

Spokesman Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said the pair were at a shebeen in Kagiso, on the West Rand, on Monday when an argument between them broke out.

 

"The argument, which led to the suspect pulling out a knife, was over beer, according to witnesses. He thereafter stabbed the deceased on the left leg and fled the scene," he said in a statement.

 

The man was rushed to hospital but due to excessive bleeding from the stab wound he was certified dead on arrival.

 

The arrested man was expected to appear in the Kagiso Magistrate's Court soon.
