Man attacked with an axe
A 33 year-old man has been severely injured after he was attacked with an axe in Olievenhoutbosch, Centurion.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene on Tuesday morning.
Spokesperson Russel Meiring says the incident happened Monday night.
"It is understood that the man had been attacked outside his home last night. He managed to crawl into his home and was only found early this morning," says Meiring.
The man was treated for his injuries and transferred to a nearby hospital for further medical care as he has sustained numerous injuries leaving him in a serious condition.
Meiring says local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
