Man busted with drugs worth R12 million

A man was arrested at the OR Tambo International Airport with narcotics worth over R12 million.
A 36 year-old man travelling from Tanzania was arrested after 10 clear plastic bags filled with Ephedrine were found in his two large suitcases.
Sars said the narcotics was discovered after his luggage was scanned.
"The total weight of the consignment was 40.20 kg with an estimated street value of R12 060 000," Sars said in a statement.
The man has been handed over to the South African Police Service and he is expected to appear in court soon.
