Man killed in a drive-by shooting on M1
A man was killed in a drive-by shooting on the M1 near the Corlett Drive off-ramp on Friday.
Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says the man was travelling alone in a black BMW at the time of the shooting.
"We can confirm that there was a drive-by shooting this afternoon where a black BMW with one occupant was driving towards the Corlett," he says.
Police cannot confirm the number of suspects involved or what the motive for the shooting could have been.
"For now we have started with preliminary investigations, details are still sketchy but we are appealing to people who witnessed this shooting to come forward," adds Masondo.
