Captain Paul Ramaloko said the 23-year-old Zimbabwean was in Pretoria on Wednesday and charged with rape and robbery.

He appeared in court the same day and his case was postponed to July 20 for bail application, Ramaloko said..

He said the man allegedly raped a 40-year-old woman while she was on her way to work at Ifafi in Hartbeespoort Dam near Brits on July 19, last year. He allegedly threatened to kill her before dragging her to nearby bushes.
Ramaloko said the suspect also allegedly raped a woman, 19, in Brits on August 1, 2014. “He threatened her with a hand gun, and dragged her to the bushes where he allegedly raped her.”

“At that time the accused was with his friend. Both incidents took place during the day,” he said.

Ramaloko said the man was arrested while he was detained in the Kgosi Mampuru prison for four counts of murder he allegedly committed in Olievenhoutbosch, and three house break-ins he allegedly committed in Wierdaburg near Pretoria, Gauteng.
