Mandla Mandela on trial in May
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso
Former president Nelson Mandela's grandson Mandla Mandela will go on trial on a charge of assault in May, the National Prosecuting Authority said on Monday.

Spokesman Nathi Ncube said the date was set when Mandela appeared in the Mthatha Magistrate's Court earlier in the day. The trial would run from May 26 to 28.
He allegedly drew a firearm in Mthatha in October after someone crashed his car into a vehicle driven by one of Mandela's guests.
