Manhunt launched for ‘extremely dangerous’ prisoners
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Police are searching for two awaiting trail prisoners who escaped from the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

The whereabouts of Mongezi Mcunukelwa and Sbonelo Nkosingiphe Thwala are still unknown.
Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says it’s unclear at this stage how they escaped.
“We have since launched a manhunt for the men who are facing several charges of murder,” says Masondo.
Masondo has warned that the 21-year-old Thwala and 31-year-old Mcunukelwa are a threat to the community’s safety.
“We would like to make an appeal to the community not to apprehend them because we believe that these are very dangerous criminals.”
