Manyi recommended for MDDA board

Former government spokesman Jimmy Manyi has been recommended for a position on the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) board.

Parliament's communications portfolio committee on Tuesday recommended candidates to fill vacancies on the SABC board and the MDDA board.
After a series of interviews, Manyi was recommended to fill the position at the MDDA while Leah Khumalo was recommended for the SABC board position, said committee spokesman Justice Molafo.
"If the recommendations are adopted by the National Assembly, Manyi will replace Nothando Migogo on the MDDA board and Khumalo will take over from Noluthando Gosa, who resigned from the SABC board in November," Molafo said in a statement.
Committee chairman Sikhumbuzo Kholwane wished Manyi and Khumalo well and thanked them for their willingness to serve in the two institutions.
